More details are being released concerning the search for two escapees from the Custer County Jail.
As of last night, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that they have made limited progress in the apprehension of the two fugitives. 39-year-old Jerry Williams of La Junta and 30-year-old Bryan Webb of Walsenburg escaped from custody late Sunday night when they overpowered the detention deputy.
Sheriff’s deputies have been canvassing Walsenburg and surrounding areas contacting relatives and friends of Bryan Webb. They do know that Webb went to his parent’s residence in Walsenburg early Monday morning and has not been seen since. Both Webb and Williams were seen in Walsenburg Monday morning.
The Toyota mini van the two stole in Westcliffe to make their escape was also recovered in Walsenburg.
Williams was being held on charges of attempted murder. Webb was being held on drug charges and assault on a Peace Officer.
Report any sightings or information you may have about their whereabouts to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.
