U.S. Marshals Join Search for Custer County Escapees

The U.S. Marshals Office is joining in the search for two Custer County escapees.

The Custer County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that they have made limited progress in the apprehension of the two fugitives. 39-year-old Jerry Williams of La Junta and 30-year-old Bryan Webb of Walsenburg escaped from custody a week ago Sunday when they overpowered a detention deputy.

Sheriff’s deputies canvassed Walsenburg and surrounding areas contacting relatives and friends of Bryan Webb. They do know that Webb went to his parent’s residence in Walsenburg and has not been seen since. Both Webb and Williams were seen in Walsenburg.

The Toyota mini van the two stole in Westcliffe to make their escape was also recovered in Walsenburg.

Williams was being held on charges of attempted murder. Webb was being held on drug charges and assault on a Peace Officer.

Report any sightings or information you may have about their whereabouts to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.
