Colorado Parks and Wildlife has launched an investigation after a mountain lion was found illegally killed in Taylor Canyon near Almont in Gunnison County.
According to CPW, the animal was poached three days before the legal hunting season began, prompting concerns about deliberate violations of wildlife regulations.
Wildlife officials are asking the public for help. Anyone with information can submit anonymous tips to Operation Game Thief by calling 877-265-6648.
