New cases of Covid-19 are rising in the majority of Colorado counties.
Coronavirus hospitalizations, however, remained stable.
Less than a month ago, most of Colorado’s Covid-19 spread was happening on the Western Slope, while the Front Range saw declining cases. That’s no longer the situation, as case rates increased last week in 34 of the state’s 64 counties.
As of Monday, 335 people were hospitalized with Covid-19 across the state. The Colorado Department of Health reported 3,988 new cases last week. That’s the highest weekly total since May.
Getting vaccinated is still the best way to help stop the spread.
The Covid-19 Vaccine Bus is returning to Chaffee County and they will be offering $100 Walmart Gift Cards to anyone who gets a vaccination.
The Vaccine Bus will be offering the Covid-19 vaccine to those 12 plus in Buena Vista tomorrow from 10 am to 6 pm at the Buena Vista High School, and in Alpine Park in Salida from 10 am to 6 pm Friday, and 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday.
$100 Walmart Gift Cards will be given away, while supplies last, to those who get the vaccine in both Buena Vista and Salida.
No appointments are necessary, walk-ups are encouraged.
