COVID-19 By The Numbers [April 23]

Chaffee County Public Health is reporting that there are now 57 cases of COVID-19 in the county. Nine deaths from the disease have been reported. 

  • Custer County is reporting 2 cases of COVID-19
  • Lake County Public Health is reporting 4 positive cases of COVID-19.
  • Fremont County is now reporting 14 positive cases. 
  • Gunnison County has 103 positive cases. 

Statewide, 508 deaths have been confirmed. 

10,800 people have tested positive in the state, over 2,000 have been hospitalized since the outbreak began but only 859 people were in the hospital as of yesterday.

New state data shows 323 residents of nursing homes and other health care facilities in Colorado are believed to have died of COVID-19, an 84% increase over the death total announced just a week ago. 

The number of cases in long-term facilities more than doubled, from 632 as of April 15 to 1,274 as of yesterday. An additional 30 facilities reported cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of health care related outbreaks to 109.
