The Aspen Acres Fire in Custer, Pueblo, Fremont, and Huerfano counties has grown to just over 101,000 acres with containment holding at 61%. Both Pueblo and Custer counties yesterday announced that several areas would be re-opening to residents.
The Willow Fire in Lake County west of Leadville has grown to almost 7,200 acres with 48% containment.
The Gold Mountain Fire burning in Montrose, Ouray and Gunnison counties is just over 38,000 acres with 24% containment.
Stage 2 Fire Restrictions remain in effect for all public and private lands in Chaffee, Park, Lake, Saguache and Fremont Counties.
Custer County has moved to Stage 3 Fire Restrictions. The highest level of fire restrictions.
