A new community-led effort is underway to ensure that Salida’s fireworks celebrations can continue well into the future. The Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF), in partnership with the Salida Community Center, High Country Bank, and the City of Salida, has launched a sustainable funding model aimed at supporting future fireworks displays.

Organizers say the initiative is built on the idea that maintaining beloved community traditions takes collective effort. Through the Salida Fireworks Campaign, residents and local businesses are invited to contribute tax-deductible donations to help fund upcoming celebrations.

Donations can be made online through the Salida Fireworks Donation Fund at coloradogives.org/story/salidafireworks. Contributions may also be made by check, payable to the Chaffee County Community Foundation with “Fireworks” noted in the memo line, and mailed to PO Box 492, Buena Vista, CO 81211.

Campaign partners emphasized that broad community participation will be key to preserving Salida’s fireworks events for years to come and thanked supporters for helping keep the tradition alive.
