The Salida Sunrise Rotary, in partnership with the City of Salida, is raising funds to ensure this year’s Christmas Mountain fireworks display can go on as planned.

Event organizers Erin Bridwell and Michael Maassel say that due to a tighter city budget this year, the City of Salida will cover firefighter overtime, but not the cost of the fireworks themselves. To make the show happen, the team needs to raise $10,000 by mid-November.

So far, more than $5,000 has already been raised, and community support is key to reaching the goal. Every dollar counts—both residents and local businesses are encouraged to contribute.
