Chaffee County Commissioners are meeting today for a work session at the courthouse. Agenda items include:
Review of the final 2026 Chaffee County Housing Needs Assessment, a discussion over a letter to the Public Utilities Commission re: Xcel Energy and Black Hills Energy addressing wildfire mitigation and public safety power shutoff rule-making information as well as discussion over Destination Management Council recommendation for the FY27 tourism marketing budget allocation
for website and AI enhancements project and hear an update from the Office of Emergency Management
They will also meet this afternoon for an executive session to receive legal advice regarding hiring processes and statutory requirements related to job descriptions.
