The Aspen Acres Fire is 36% contained after burning 99,000 acres.

A segment of Highway 96 reopened yesterday allowing Wetmore residents to begin returning home.   

There will be a community meeting to provide updates on the fire tonight at Centennial High School in Pueblo beginning at 7pm.  The meeting will be live streamed on the Aspen Acres Facebook page.     

The Willow Fire in the Mount Massive Wilderness Area in Lake County west of Leadville has grown to just over 6,400 acres with 29% containment.

The fire has been determined to be human caused, but the exact origin and method are not yet known. 

The Gold Mountain Fire burning in Montrose, Ouray and Gunnison counties is almost 37,000 acres with 12% containment.    

Custer County has moved to Stage 3 Fire Restrictions. This is the highest level of fire restrictions.

All outdoor fires prohibited. 

Stage 2 Fire Restrictions remain in effect for all public and private lands in Chaffee, Park, Lake, Saguache and Fremont Counties.
