Colorado orders all schools closed at least through April 17 to fight coronavirus spread.

Governor Jared Polis yesterday ordered a four-week closure of all public and private schools in the state.

Governor Polis suspended all in person learning and is directing schools to make every effort to provide alternative learning opportunities.   Polis said, “While it’s possible that schools may return this year, it is increasingly unlikely.”

The governor has already ordered the closure of ski resorts, as well as bars, gyms, theaters, casinos and restaurant dining rooms.

Coloradans are being urged to avoid crowds and, when possible, stay home.

Colorado Mountain College has canceled all spring graduation ceremonies.

CMC leadership is considering alternate arrangements to celebrate the achievements of its 2020 graduates.
