Colorado Legislative Session Begins Today

The second session of the 72nd Colorado General Assembly begins today at the State Capitol in Denver.

With the start of the session, State Representative Jim Wilson and State Senator Kerry Donovan will join us on Heart of the Rockies Radio with weekly reports.  Wilson will give us an update on Wednesday mornings, Donovan on Thursday mornings.

Senator Donovan has pre-filed her first bill of the session-a bill that would repeal the ban on local government regulation of plastics.

Donovan says she also will be working this session to improve health care access, protecting the environment, and addressing rural economic development.

House District 60 Representative Jim Wilson will begin his last year in the legislature as he is term limited.  Wilson, a former school superintendent, serves on the Education Committee.
