Colorado Lawmakers Won’t Return to Capitol

Colorado lawmakers won’t return to the Capitol until after Memorial Day because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The one-week extension to the temporary suspension of the legislature allows lawmakers additional time to make safety preparations, consider legislation and research how the General Assembly can deal with the looming budget shortfall caused by COVID-19.

The legislature is now scheduled to reconvene on May 26th.
