Car thefts are becoming a big concern across Colorado. The numbers continue to rise and are on pace to beat record highs set in 2021.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, Colorado has the most car thefts per capita in the United States. In May, more than 3,600 cars were stolen across the state. CSP says the most recent numbers show an 18% increase from January to May.
Parking in a well-lit location, removing valuables, and always locking your car are essential steps to protecting your property.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado.
