Colorado avalanche danger hits “Extreme” levels.
Snow is falling so heavily in Colorado’s mountains that avalanche danger warnings yesterday were as high as they have been in years. Mapping by the Colorado Avalanche Information Center showed extreme conditions for the San Juan Mountains.
Mountain ranges in the center of the state showed high avalanche danger.
Whether extreme or high, they are areas to stay away from until conditions improve.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
