Salida, CO- The City of Salida is pleased to announce the hiring of its new Finance Director, Taylor Webb, who has officially joined the City team ahead of longtime Finance Director Aimee Tihonovich’s retirement in June. The overlap in their time with the City will allow for a smooth transition and training period as leadership responsibilities are passed on.
Aimee has been an integral part of the City’s leadership team and played a major role in building the strong, award-winning finance department Salida has today. Her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public service have helped guide the City through years of growth and success. The City extends its sincere appreciation for her many years of service and looks forward to celebrating her retirement next month.
The City’s new Finance Director brings extensive experience in public accounting, municipal financial reporting, budgeting, and executive financial leadership. In her most recent role with RS Meacham CPAs & Advisors, she worked closely with municipal clients to prepare and review financial statements, develop annual budgets, and support audit processes in accordance with governmental reporting standards. Her experience includes improving financial transparency, supporting compliance efforts, and providing strategic financial guidance to leadership teams and stakeholders.
Prior to this role, she served as Director of Finance for a multi-department hospitality property, where she led budgeting and forecasting processes, implemented financial controls, and partnered with department leaders to improve operational efficiency and accountability.
