Salida, CO — January 22, 2026 — Chaffee County Public Health (CCPH) is excited to announce the launch of the newly redesigned Chaffee Resources website, a free, local, community-centered directory created to help residents and providers easily find and connect with services across Chaffee County.
Originally developed several years ago as a rapid response tool, Chaffee Resources quickly became a trusted starting point for people seeking local support. Over time, however, both residents and service providers shared that the site needed to grow, becoming easier to navigate, more comprehensive, and better equipped to reflect the wide range of services available in the county.
“This redesign represents a major investment in our community,” said Andrea Carlstrom, Director of Chaffee County Public Health. “Chaffee Resources is about helping people find the right support faster, while also supporting the incredible organizations and individuals doing this work every day.”
Why the Upgrade Was Needed
Community members, navigators, and providers consistently shared that finding accurate, up-to-date information about local services could be challenging. As needs across housing, mental health, food access, childcare, aging, legal support, and wellness have grown more complex, the county recognized the importance of creating a single, reliable, local place to start.
The updated Chaffee Resources website was designed to:
- Improve ease of use and navigation
- Allow residents to search by category, need, and location
- Support referrals and connection between providers
- Better reflect the full breadth of services available in Chaffee County
What’s New
The new site features a mobile-friendly design, improved search and filtering, clearer and more detailed resource listings, and tools that make it easier for organizations to keep information current. Residents can explore services across health, wellness, housing, food, legal assistance, childcare, transportation, financial support, and more, all focused on local Chaffee County resources.
At its core, Chaffee Resources is about belonging, ensuring that people of all backgrounds, identities, ages, and life circumstances know where to turn and feel supported in their own community.
“We want every resident to know that help exists here, locally,” Carlstrom added. “And we want every provider to feel seen, supported, and connected as part of a stronger countywide network.”
A Growing Resource: and a Call to Local Providers
While the site is now live, Chaffee Resources is still actively growing. Chaffee County Public Health is asking for the community’s patience during this phase and is also issuing a call to action.
All local Chaffee County organizations, programs, businesses, and providers, from legal services and childcare to bodywork, clinics, housing support, and community programs, are encouraged to visit the site and create a free profile so their services can be included.
Organizations with questions or needing assistance can contact Chaffee County Public Health at 719-539-4510 or email for support.
How the Community Can Help
Residents are encouraged to:
- Use Chaffee Resources as a starting point when seeking local support
- Share the website with neighbors, friends, and family
- Let the county know if a service is missing so it can be added
Looking Ahead
Chaffee County Public Health is committed to maintaining the accuracy, quality, and relevance of Chaffee Resources over time through ongoing outreach, training, and community partnership.
This project is led by Chaffee County Public Health and has been strongly supported by Chaffee County leadership and the Chaffee County Community Foundation, reflecting a shared commitment to connection, access, and community well-being.
“Chaffee Resources is more than a website,” Carlstrom said. “It’s a living tool that reflects who we are as a county — local, connected, and committed to showing up for one another.”
