The Chaffee Housing Authority has provided an update on the construction of Jane’s Place.
The Authority received an award letter from the Division of Housing in July for the Transformational Affordable Housing Grant to close the construction funding gap for Jane’s Place. Since that time, the Authority has been working with its lender and the general contractor in anticipation of beginning vertical construction for the project.
Unfortunately, the hold up is that the Division of Housing has yet to issue the contracting documents and funds for the grant.
Chaffee Housing Authority remains committed to going vertical as soon as possible.
Jane’s Place will consist of 17 rental housing units along with nonprofit and commercial space at the intersection of 3rd Street and Highway 291 in Salida.
