Voter turnout is high for the November election. Chaffee County Clerk Lori Mitchell is reporting that as of last night, a total of 913 ballots have been returned.
By this point in the 2018 election, only 324 ballots had been returned to the clerk’s office.
The Salida vote center is open at the Scout Hut Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and 8 am to noon on Saturdays.
The Buena Vista vote center at the Community Center will open on Friday, November 4th.
Colorado voters can visit GoVoteColorado.gov to register to vote or update their voter registration, find their local county clerk, sign up to track their ballot and find accurate election information.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
