Chaffee County Transitions to ‘Safer At Home’ Friday

Chaffee County Public Health’s current order stands through Thursday, April 30th.

All current guidelines are still in effect in Chaffee County.

Chaffee County officials have started the process to get businesses back open.

They have provided information and a Safe Business Checklist to educate and provide guidelines to local business to ensure we are safe and healthy to operate for employees and the general public.

The Safe Business Checklist can be found by clicking on this link: http://www.chaffeecounty.org/Public-Health-Coronavirus

All businesses will need to receive the Safe Business Certificate to reopen.

The County has staffed up to ensure a very efficient and rapid turnaround.

The County is actively working on a three phased reopening of the county during the month of May and beginning of June.

The Safe Business reopening also comes with a warning.

Chaffee County Public Health says that if we do not follow this health and safety guidance, it is very possible that they will have to tighten control measures once again to protect the population.
