Chaffee County Public Health is sponsoring a county-wide Community Emergency Preparedness Fair at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds on June 9.

Community members are invited to attend the event to learn about emergency preparedness resources and services available throughout the county, especially for situations such as wildfires that may require evacuations.

The fair will also feature panel discussions with local representatives who will answer questions and provide guidance related to emergency planning and safety.

In a press release, Chaffee County Public Health Director Andrea Carlstrom said, “As we anticipate an active wildfire season across Colorado, several local agencies started talking about the need to be proactive to equip our community with planning and preparedness resources, and this fair is one step to better protect the people of Chaffee County.”
