The Chaffee County Board of Commissioners has launched a formal review of the Chaffee County Land Use Code and Zoning Map, which went into effect on January 1, 2025. The review is part of the “glitch bill” amendment process, aimed at identifying and correcting errors, discrepancies, or technical issues within the new code, if necessary.
The Planning and Zoning Department has been tasked with leading the process, and the County is now accepting public comments on proposed amendments.
📅 Key Dates:
- July 21: Draft of proposed glitch bill amendments released for public review
- August 5: Work sessions begin with Commissioners and the Planning Commission
- September 2 & 9: Public hearings scheduled on the proposed amendments
Community members are encouraged to participate in the process by submitting input and reviewing materials as they become available.
