The Chaffee County Common Ground will open its annual Competitive Grant cycle on July 20, making $450,000 available to support projects throughout Chaffee County.
Funding is available for projects that align with the program’s core goals of strengthening forest health, conserving working ranches and farms, and managing the impacts of growth on the county’s outdoor resources.
The grant program is administered by the Chaffee County Community Foundation and is open to government agencies and IRS-certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
Eligible projects may be located on either public or private lands within Chaffee County. Officials note that no new multi-year grant requests will be considered during this funding cycle.
An informational webinar will be held via Zoom on June 30 for prospective applicants. Grant applications will be accepted beginning July 20, with a submission deadline of August 28.
