Chaffee County Clerk Lori Mitchell reported that 800 mail ballots were returned yesterday, with 11 people voting in person, bringing the total number of ballots cast to 3,230. This year’s turnout is currently behind that of the 2020 General Election, where 4,674 ballots had been cast by the same point.
Voters are encouraged to return their ballots early or vote in person before the election deadline.
