Chaffee County Day Camp Employee Facing Additional Charges.

Herbert Lucas Scott is facing additional charges stemming from allegations of obscenity at the Pony Patch at Doolittle Ranch off Highway 291 outside of Salida.

In addition to two counts of obscenity, Scott is now facing nine felony counts of Sexual Assault on a Child by a person in a position of trust following a comprehensive investigation by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office and the 11th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

The victims in the case range from 9 to 18 years of age and were all clients or visitors to the ranch.

Scott’s next court appearance in Chaffee County District Court is set for February 4th

CBI agents are asking families to speak with their children who may have been in contact with Scott at the camp or other locations, and to call a designated tip line to report inappropriate behavior that may have occurred.  The tip line number is 719-539-5299.

Because of the nature of the investigation and juvenile involvement, very few details are available at this time.
