Chaffee County Community Foundation Welcomes New Director of Operations Rachele Vierthaler

Chaffee County Community Foundation is thrilled to announce that Rachele Vierthaler of Nathrop has joined the nonprofit organization in the newly created position of Director of Operations.

In this new role, Rachele will develop and manage CCCF’s core processes, including its operational and financial systems, and she will also serve as the primary point of contact for CCCFs fiscal sponsored organizations and donor-advised funds.

“Rachele brings a wealth of knowledge from the nonprofit and government sectors to CCCF, which includes developing policies, processes, and technical training programs,” said Betsy Dittenber, Executive Director of the Chaffee County Community Foundation. “Between her extensive experience and our work together during her time as a CCCF board member, I’m incredibly confident that Rachele will be an amazing asset to the foundation as we continue to grow in support of Chaffee County.”

In addition to three years as a CCCF board member where she served on the Grants and Finance Committees, Rachele previously worked for Colorado DHS as a Program Specialist in Nathrop. Prior to DHS, she held positions of increasing responsibility at Mi Casa Resource Center in Denver and was a research assistant at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, supporting projects that addressed social issues. Rachele began her career in the Peace Corps, serving in the Dominican Republic as a Youth, Family, and Community Development Volunteer.

A Chaffee County resident since 2018, Rachele is enthusiastic about her new role as CCCF’s Operations Director. “The majority of my career has been focused on ensuring equitable access to resources and training, and advocating for programs focused on youth, the environment, and positive health outcomes,” she explained. “I’m eager to serve our community and to help CCCF further our mission of inspiring positive change through the power of philanthropy to enrich the lives of everyone here in our county.”

Rachele earned her Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Kansas.
