The Chaffee County Community Foundation is inviting all qualified nonprofit organizations serving Salida and Buena Vista to apply for more than $145,000 in funds available through the Spring Municipal Grant Cycle. The grant cycle opens next Monday and continues through February 9th.

The funding includes over $56,000 for organizations serving the Buena Vista community and just over $90,000 for those serving Salida. These grants are made possible through partnerships with the City of Salida and Town of Buena Vista.

The Foundation will convene a grant review committee composed of two residents from each of the municipalities, a Buena Vista Trustee, a Salida City Council member as well as two members of the Foundation grants committee.

Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee.
