Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder Lori Mitchell reports that 97 percent of ballots for the upcoming November 4 election have been successfully delivered to voters across the county.

As of Monday, 112 ballots have already been returned, reflecting early voter participation.

The clerk’s office encourages residents to check their ballot status using available ballot tracking tools, which notify voters at each stage of delivery and processing.

In Buena Vista, construction around the library is creating increased traffic on Linderman Avenue. To improve accessibility, election officials have made alternate arrangements for returning ballots in that area.

In Salida, a secure ballot drop location remains available in front of the Chaffee County Courthouse. All ballots must be received by the deadline on November 4 to be counted.
