The group Chaffee Citizen’s Advocacy will host a public meeting today to discuss how the 2025 Chaffee County Land Use Code has impacted local landowners. The meeting is scheduled from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at St. Rose of Lima Church in Buena Vista.
The session aims to raise awareness about the effects of the recently adopted Land Use Code, which went into effect on January 1, 2025, and provide landowners with a forum to share concerns.
This meeting comes as Chaffee County Commissioners initiate a formal review of the Land Use Code and Zoning Map through the “glitch bill” amendment process—a mechanism intended to fix errors, discrepancies, or technical issues in the code.
The Planning and Zoning Department has been tasked with leading the amendment process and is currently soliciting public feedback.
Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting, ask questions, and participate in shaping future revisions.
