CDOT Performing Avalanche Mitigation on Monarch Pass Today [Update]

[UPDATE] Avalanche mitigation and snow removal work on Monarch Pass is complete. Highway 50 is now open in both directions.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will be performing avalanche mitigation and snow removal operations on Highway 50, Monarch Pass, today (Dec. 29th) beginning at noon.

Travellers should expect delays as the operations could take up to 90 minutes. Please be aware, however, this delay may be extended should unusual circumstances arise.
