CDOT Performing Avalanche Mitigation on Monarch Pass Today at 2 pm [Update]

[UPDATE] As of 3 pm, snow removal operations have been completed and Highway 50 is open in both directions.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will be performing avalanche mitigation and snow removal operations on Highway 50, Monarch Pass, today beginning at 2 pm.

Travellers should expect delays as the operations could take up to an hour. Please be aware, however, this delay may be extended should unusual circumstances arise.
