The Colorado Department of Transportation begins a 21-day full closure of Highway 24 from Antero Junction to Hartsel.
The closure will be in place so the Department can replace 2 outdated bridges. The detour will be a lengthy one, using Highway 285 to Fairplay then Highway 9 back to Hartsel.
Also, The Colorado Department of Transportation has resumed the improvement project on Highway 50 through Little blue Creek Canyon near Gunnison.
Safety improvements include widening a 4-mile stretch of the highway and adding paved shoulders. Full closures and one-lane alternating traffic will be required to complete the project. Updates can be found at us50info.com.

His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado.
