The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a report about an E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounders in Colorado and other states. Tragically, an elderly person in Mesa County has died, and cases have also been confirmed in Chaffee, Teller, and El Paso Counties, according to Colorado Springs ABC affiliate Channel 13.
The Colorado Department of Public Health has traced the outbreak to multiple McDonald’s locations across the state. However, specific restaurants have not been identified. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has traced the contamination to onions sourced from a California grower.
