Feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair as Chaffee County Public Health (CCPH) launches its much-anticipated Trishaw Program in Buena Vista! These scenic bike rides are designed especially for adults aged 55 and older, offering a safe and joyful way to connect with the outdoors and the heart of our community. Each ride lasts up to an hour and includes a sweet treat—yes, ice cream is part of the adventure!
To make this program a success, we need your help. CCPH is currently recruiting volunteer pilots to power these rides and bring joy to older adults in our community. Pilots receive full training and must complete a background check. No special experience is required—just a kind heart, a bit of pedaling power, and a willingness to connect.
Whether you’re looking to make a difference, enjoy the outdoors, or support a more inclusive and age-friendly community, becoming a trishaw pilot is a rewarding way to get involved.
Don’t let age or mobility limitations keep our older neighbors from experiencing the beauty of Buena Vista. Help us create moments of joy, laughter, and connection.
To sign up as a volunteer pilot, contact Aubrey Tamietti at 719-530-1198. Let’s work together to make every ride a celebration of life!
