Several Buena Vista residents returned petitions to run for mayor and trustee positions.
Three people are running for mayor: Thomas Brown, Devin Rowe and Carlin Walsh. Eight are running for the three open trustee seats: Jared Lane, Alexia McCarty, Feather Bokker, Tony LaGreca, Chris Sturm, Jason Eaves, Paul Raymond, and Stacie Tolleson. Raymond and Tolleson’s petitions were deemed to be insufficient and they have until the 31st to replace or correct signatures.
Buena Vista voters will elect and new mayor and three trustees on November 3rd.
Please be sure your voter registration is updated to reflect your current address. Voters with a Colorado Driver’s License or ID card can register or update their information with the Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder at any time up to and including the day of the election. Please contact Chaffee County directly regarding their current registration procedures. You should also contact Chaffee County if you do not receive your county ballot or need a replacement ballot.
