The Buena Vista Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the Major Site Plan for the new Boys and Girls Club facility at 710 Cedar Street, next to the Buena Vista Community Center.
The proposed 21,000 square foot, two-story facility will provide dedicated space for youth and community programming, including a gymnasium, leadership and program areas, and recreation space. The project also includes new pedestrian connections, landscaping, bicycle and vehicle parking, drainage improvements and coordination with the neighboring community center.
The Town of Buena Vista is providing the site through a 99-year ground lease, while the club has been leading fundraising efforts to make the new facility a reality. To learn more about the project or to donate funds go here: https://www.buildinggreatfutures.org/
