Chaffee County is gearing up for a full weekend of family-friendly events.

The Chaffee County Winter Farmers Market returns tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds. More than 35 vendors will be on hand offering produce, baked goods, handcrafted gifts, and other locally made items—perfect for holiday shopping.

Also tomorrow, families can take part in the Chaffee County Toy Swap from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at A Church, located at 419 D Street in Salida. Participants are encouraged to bring toys in good condition, with all parts included, and trade them for “new-to-you” items. The event provides a sustainable and budget-friendly way to refresh your children’s toy collection while giving unused toys a new home.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot free-throw contest will take place, offering young athletes a chance to test their basketball skills.

Santa Paws will be at Gone to the Dogs in Buena Vista tonight from 4pm to 6pm and at Gone to the Dogs in Salida tomorrow from 4pm to 6pm.  Santa Paws is a chance for your pets to have their pictures taken with Santa.
