The Buena Vista Board of Trustees will convene this evening at the BV Community Center, beginning with a 4:45 p.m. executive session. During the closed session, trustees are scheduled to conduct performance evaluations for the Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, and Town Administrator.
The regular public meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
On the agenda for business items, trustees will consider appointing John O’Brien to the Chaffee County Multijurisdictional Housing Authority. They will also hold a public hearing on the proposed 2026 town budget and review a proposed 2026 fee schedule.
Another key discussion will center on the town’s potential decision to opt out of House Bill 1362, which concerns greywater treatment. Town officials cite unresolved water rights issues and the need for additional accounting processes as reasons for the proposed prohibition of greywater systems within Buena Vista.
The board will also consider whether to cancel its December 23 meeting.
