The Buena Vista skate park is seeing an increase in business after the city and the Optimist Club teamed together to support improvements being added to the skate park.
Along with changing the location of a shade area and bleachers, the city has added 1800 square feet of skate-able terrain as well as a half pipe which was donated as well.
Earl Richmond with Buena Vista Rec says they have definitely seen more activity, both from high schoolers and middle schoolers as well as by parents and younger kids.
