Buena Vista is gearing up for its Hometown Holiday celebration tomorrow, offering a packed schedule of community events for all ages.
The day begins with the Local Author Fair at the McGinnis Gym from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where local writers will sell and sign their books and chat with readers.
Chocolate lovers can take part in the annual Chocolate Walk, featuring sweet treats at 41 participating businesses. Chocolate Walk cards will be available for purchase at the McGinnis Gym starting at 9 a.m., with proceeds benefiting the Buena Vista High School cross-country team.
The 8th annual Polar Plunge kicks off at noon at South Main River Park to support the Toys for Tikes program. Registration opens at 11:30 a.m.
From noon to 5 p.m., shoppers can explore a town-wide Vendor Fair, with booths set up throughout Buena Vista.
As evening approaches, Mini Blessing will host its annual Holiday Light Show in McPhelemy Park from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person or $15 per car.
Festivities wrap up with the Parade of Lights, rolling down East Main at 5 p.m. After the parade, Santa Claus will read “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” at the Splash Park before lighting the town tree.
