Stage II Fire Restrictions are in place for Chaffee, Custer, Park and Lake Counties along with all BLM lands.
Stage II Fire Restrictions prohibit all open burning of any kind.
U.S. Forest Service is under Stage I Fire Restrictions allowing a campfire only in constructed fire rings in organized campgrounds.
The Town of Buena Vista has relaxed their fire restrictions. It is now permissible to use fire pits and charcoal grills with the city limits of Buena Vista. The open burning of brush, trash, or any other open flames are still prohibited.
