Work is underway to replace an 85-year-old bridge on Colorado Highway 9, at the base of Hoosier Pass, north of Alma.
Located between County Road 6 and 4, the current bridge is structurally deficient and functionally obsolete. Shoulder closures are currently in place.
Beginning on Monday, August 21st, expect one lane alternating traffic.
Colorado 9 will be closed entirely beginning on September 7th and continuing through September 14th. Motorists will be required to use Highway 24, Colorado 91 and I-70.
