Both Penrose funeral home owners are now in the El Paso County Jail.
Jon Hallford was transferred to El Paso County from Oklahoma on Wednesday, Nov. 22nd.
Carie and her husband Jon are facing charges of abuse of a corpse, theft, money laundering, and forgery after almost 200 bodies were found improperly stored at their Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose. The Hallfords were arrested November 9th in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
The Hallford’s were arrested on November 8th in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
