The Chaffee County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday officially named Beth Helmke as the county’s new administrator.

Helmke brings extensive experience to the role, having served as Chaffee County’s Deputy Administrator for the past five years. She has also been acting as Interim County Administrator following the departure of former administrator Don Reimer.

County officials noted that Helmke’s appointment ensures continuity in county leadership and reflects confidence in her experience and familiarity with county operations. Her transition from interim to permanent administrator formalizes the leadership role she has already been fulfilling in recent months.

Helmke will continue overseeing day-to-day county operations while working with commissioners to advance county priorities and serve Chaffee County residents.
