Barry Morphew, who was recently indicted for the first-degree murder of his wife, Suzanne Morphew, has been extradited from Arizona to Colorado and is now in custody at the Alamosa County Jail.
Morphew will make his first court appearance today in the 12th Judicial District.
Earlier this month, a Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Morphew with first-degree murder, following new developments in the investigation. Suzanne Morphew went missing in May 2020, and her remains were located in 2023 in the San Luis Valley. Barry Morphew was arrested in Arizona earlier this month and waived extradition.
This marks a renewed chapter in the high-profile case, which was previously dismissed in 2022 due to prosecutorial missteps.
This is a developing story. Updates will be posted as new details become available.
