It was a big day for the Ark Valley Humane Society. They officially cut the ribbon and opened their new addition in Buena Vista.
The new 1,200 foot addition provides a new reception area, new adoptable cat room, an outdoor dog meet and greet yard, and three private meet and greet rooms.
Due to the sale of the Sunshine Shelter in Poncha Springs and over $100,000 donated for the project, the cost of the $500,000 project has been fully funded.
Heart of the Rockies Radio was live during the event and captured photos of the new addition, the staff, and the celebration.
