The Aspen Acres Fire in Custer, Pueblo, Fremont, and Huerfano counties has grown to just over 100,000 acres with 61% containment. The Custer County Sheriff’s Office issued new mandatory evacuations yesterday for Custer Zone C4. Officials confirmed yesterday that 241 homes have been lost in Pueblo County. At least 85 homes in Custer County have been lost.
The Willow Fire in Lake County west of Leadville has grown to just over 7,100 acres with 41% containment.
The Gold Mountain Fire burning in Montrose, Ouray and Gunnison counties is just over 38,000 acres with 24% containment.
Stage 2 Fire Restrictions remain in effect for all public and private lands in Chaffee, Park, Lake, Saguache and Fremont Counties.
Custer County has moved to Stage 3 Fire Restrictions. This is the highest level of fire restrictions.
