Anson "Ace" Costin Hart

Anson Costin Hart of Salida passed away peacefully in his home after many years of chronic pain on September 21st, 2023, at the age of 68.

Anson “Ace” was born on April 5th, 1955, in Inglewood, California. Ace owned Monarch Brokers Real Estate and Consultation in Salida that he started in 1999, and maintained until he retired in 2019.

In his earlier years he was a short order cook in Palm Springs, California at Sambos Restaurant and gained notoriety by cooking for 200 hours straight, which got him into the Guinness Book of World Records. He was known for his speed at the grill, receiving a gold lightning bolt necklace that he wore.

He was a driven man, anything he did was done to perfection, and he was all about the party. He is survived by his son Cache Arin Hart who resided with him since 2021, and his sister Rhonda Calhoun of Texas.
