A Regional Assessment Center for substance use treatment is coming to Chaffee County.
Solvista Health has announced that they have been awarded a $700,000 grant that will go toward construction of the center. The grant will help Solvista with their goal of $6.5 million to build the Regional Assessment Center that will be located on the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center campus.
The center will serve a five-county area including Chaffee, Custer, Fremont, Lake, Park and surrounding counties.
The fundraising to reach the $6.5 million goal continues. Construction is expected to begin this summer with a goal of opening by early 2021.
