Chaffee County Fire and the South Ark Fire Protection District are continuing a prescribed burn today at the Hutchinson Ranch east of the Multi Use Facility on Highway 50. The purpose of the burn is to reduce wood slash and debris to facilitate construction of flood abatement measures to protect communities downstream of the ranch.
Fire apparatus and personnel are on site. The public can expect to see and smell smoke in the area.
